Netscape 6 is a beaut. It's an all-in-one kind of thing: browser, mail client, instant messenger, news manager and what have you! And it comes with two themes: modern and classic. Modern looks nice with its round shiny buttons while classic looks like your old netscape (for those who resist change, hehe).
I wish I could just use Netscape for all my needs, but my pocketpc only synchs with Microsoft Outlook. And Outlook is such a nice program in itself. Maybe I should download desktop skins again...
For those of you who want to make your PC look like a mac (onscreen, I mean, I can't do anything about the hardware), head on to
www.windowblinds.net and download WindowBlinds, a program that lets you skin your desktop.
And for all sorts of skins, hop on to
WinCustomize which is a repository of all sorts of skins for all sorts of programs.
WindowBlinds, by the way, is shareware but you can download it for trial. It displays a nag screen at start up. I tried it before and it's nice, especially for desktop monsters who love eye candy! I especially liked searching for the right theme to go with my wallpaper of the month.
Of course, when my 'puter was starting to slow down because of my hoard, I had to uninstall it. Eye candy is the first to go, of course. But, now that I've upgraded my pc, I'm seriously thinking of installing it again. Weeeee!!!!
